CY 2012 Annual Assessment - Day 4 (Dahilayan Adventure Park)

On the last day of our journey, we are scheduled to visit Dahilayan Adventure Park situated at Brgy. Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

at our car going to Jolibee for breakfast before taking off to Bukidnon ...

If you love chilly climate in the midpoint of a searing summer then Bukidnon is the most excellent location for you.  This area is the dwelling of the top pineapples in the Philippines.  Leaving to Dahilayan is approximately 2 hours travel from Cagayan De Oro City or a distance of about 35 kilometers.  It is a journey from Cagayan de Oro to the huge section of Del Monte Pineapple Plantation, then lastly to Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich.  Manolo Fortich is a 1st class municipality of Bukidnon.

You would know if you are already near the park if you start seeing the long expanse of pineapple farm owned by Del Monte, Philippines.  You will see several directional signs along the way to guide you.  The way to Dahilayan is uneven, grimy and sometimes mud-covered, but the view is absolutely eye-catching.  It's out of this world! You could see all the pine trees and the striking sceneries.   Mountains, pineapple plantations and more!  One shouldn’t miss such good-looking landscape.  It saddens me that I haven't got the chance to capture said panoramas due to the rough ride as the roads are not yet cemented, though some portions are on the process of being paved.  But you will be astonished how wealthy the farming in Bukidnon is with the diversity of crops along the way.

Dahilayan Adventure Park, now commonly known as “Dahilayan” is one of the finest places to go through the most fun and family-friendly activities in Bukidnon.  There are flourishing greenery and wonderful views only found in the peaks of Dahilayan.  You will certainly take pleasure in the hilly background.  It is where the enjoyment and escapade lies in a high place with a quaint picture of the mountains of the province.  It is an ideal place for families and friends to hit it off amidst breezy and hazy conditions.  Situated about 3 kilometers from the entrance gate of the Barangay, Dahilayan Adventure Park is where one can undergo the misty, cool stimulating type of weather, ideal for the excitement and exhilaration that you will go through.  It is snuggled at the base of Mount Kitanglad 4,700 ft. above sea level.  Dahilayan Adventure Park is a smoke-free zone and is very clean.  Its thriving greenery of pine trees, bermuda grasses and other plants are well-maintained. Their overall surrounding is just right for both children and adults.

the place looks nice and cozy...

Dahilayan Adventure Park is meters away from Forest Park where one can experience riding the ATV and zorb with plenty of pine trees.  Accordingly, Forest Park was made with the dream of helping extend the sightseeing activity in Bukidnon and the whole Philippines as well.  It's a traveler destination that presents an assortment of enjoyable activities for the entire folks, and for all ages.  That entire rutted ride along the way was all worth it when you ultimately witness the stunning spectacle from the park.

horseback riding is also available there ...

can't get enough of the spectacular view ... : ))

the Zorb Ball...

the ATV ...

the Golf course ...

Dahilayan Adventure Park brags of the title of having the longest dual zip line in the entire Asia.  It is actually two 840m Zip lines with a drop of 100 meters. Zip riders are transported via 4WD Safari Cruiser to a take-off tower at 4500′ ASL. You will be whiz in the tropical forest awning at 60-80kph to alight at a Carrier-type getaway deck utilizing a particular impressive equipment method.  But as a first timer I only try the training zip lines of 320M + 150m.

It was surely an unforgettable experience.  We headed back home to Koronadal City exhausted but bringing along the fun memories and remarkable experiences, not to mention the beautiful sceneries within the park and along the way ....

Manolo Fortich is about 308.9 km from Koronadal City or a travel time of approximately 3 hours and 58 minutes.

the long and winding road to Koronadal City ...
