On the day two of our journey to Camiguin Island, we woke up at 2 AM to prepare for our travel to Camiguin. Everybody were so excited. We still have to travel for 1.5 hours from CDO to the Ferry Port of Balingoan, Misamis Oriental. It is the main port for travellers going to the provincial island of Camiguin. From Cagayan de Oro to Balingoan is around 86 kilometers. There are actually three ports of entry in Camiguin, namely: Benoni, Guinsiliban and Balbagon. From Balingoan, Benoni is a much preferred choice since it is nearer to Mambajao, the main town of Camiguin. Mambajao is approximately 25 kilometers, north of Benoni Port. The ferry crossing is approximately 1 hour. However, depending on the condition of Bohol Sea where the Camiguin Island is located, the ferry might take longer to cross the channel.
