Day 4 - Project Monitoring in North Cotabato Province & Kidapawan City

On the fourth day of the monitoring week, the scheduled projects for inspection were: 1) Grebona Bridge, Libungan, Cotabato, 2) Malitubog-Maridagao Irrigation Project, 3) Sarayan-Kisupaan Farm-to-Market Road, Pres. Roxas, Cotabato, and 4) M'lang Airport at M'lang, Cotabato.  Here are some of the shots taken by our colleagues from NEDA...

This is the on-going construction of the Grebona Bridge...

While on the bridge, the group is having a conversation with the project engineer...

With a far away look...
After leaving the Grebona Bridge, we went back to Cot. 2nd DEO for the exit conference with DE Martinez...
Introducing ourselves with DE Martinez...

I thought only the two were being photographed...
Following the exit conference at Cot 2nd DEO, the group went to National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Office at Kidapawan City for the briefing on the Malitubog-Maridagao Irrigation Project.  We were not able to proceed to the project site since the Program of Work is still being prepared at that time.

Subsequently, the group traveled to Pres. Roxas to inspect the Sarayan-Kisupaan Farm-to-Market Road.  We have a briefing again at the Municipal Hall of Pres. Roxas with the Municipal Engineer before going to the site...

Our ride was not able to proceed due to the very muddy and slidy road hence we were walking on trying to catch up with our colleagues...

taking a little rest ...
Walking back to our ride ...
We are now on the last project to be monitored, the M'lang Airport.  From Pres. Roxas, we arrived at M'lang Municipal Hall at around 5:00 PM thus we were able to witness the sunset while on the runway of the airport. Here are some of the pix...
the runway at a far distance before the dusk ...
the terminal building again at far distance...
With soldiers of 68th IB manning the area for security purposes...
inside the terminal building with the commanding officer of the 68th IB...
while we were being briefed again regarding the supposed encroachment of the airport...

the fence of the facility...

I love this pic...the bluish color of the sky reminds me of the day that has to end to give way for a night to remember ... hahaha! What an intriguing thing to say...
I was pointing to Meo the small potholes I've noticed at the runway...
close up shot of the potholes...

we are facing different direction mesmerized by the twilight...naks...!heheh..

here's a pic of the horizon during the sunset...the combination of the colors is so breathtaking...
a group pic...

On the next day (fifth day) after this, we have our post monitoring meeting at Kidapawan then we went home to Koronadal City...

Day 3 - Project Monitoring in North Cotabato Province & Kidapawan City

On the third day of our monitoring week, we only have one project visited, the Banisilan-Guiling-Alamada-Libungan Road (Gastav-Malinao Section).  In going to the project site, the group traveled for four (4) long hours and another four (4) hours going back to Midsayap where we slept for two nights.  We passed thru Carmen, North Cotabato, Bukidnon Province, Wao Municipality of Lanao del Sur before reaching Banisilan, North Cotabato.  However, if the road will be completed, it will only take 30 to 45 minutes travel from Midsayap to Banisilan thru Libungan.  We paid a courtesy call to Banisilan Mayor Alido in order to know the problems encountered in the implementation of the project before proceeding to the site.  Here are some of the pix taken by our colleagues from NEDA 12...

These are only some of the sceneries along the way...so soothing and uplifting to see the countryside...

I still remember that we are listening to some love songs while on the way, courtesy of Pete's cellphone...hehehe...

At the office of Mayor Alido with the owner of the commercial building within the road right of way, Banisilan Municipal Councilor Pagurayan (in white long sleeves)...

Here's the cemented portion of the road...

This is the church of Iglesia ni Cristo which need to be relocated since it's in the middle of the road being constructed...

We have our lunch break here before going back to the site to check the demolition of the Pagurayan Commercial Building...

Busy taking our lunch...tired and hungry considering the lengthy travel in the long and winding road...hehehe...I had a terrible headache at this moment, what with a two hour sleep the night before....insomnia to the max...

this is the side of the commercial building...

this is the front of the commercial building...

The group here was watching the demolition of the building at the back...

We are requesting Meo here to go to our front and take a pic of us with the Mayor...it seems the request was later than the click of the cam...hehehe...

Just when finally Meo was in front to take the pic, Mayor Alido turned around to talk to us...what a timing...hahaha!

Meo again went around us to at least take a pic of the Mayor facing the cam but her phone suddenly rang and she again turned away from us to talk to her caller...lol! so funny ....

At least the Mayor's face is already captured here, though side view only....

the group converge again to discuss the demolition...

The owner (Councilor Pagurayan) of the building being demolished talking with the Engineers of Cot 2nd DEO...

A pose with my colleagues...

one more take...

This was taken upon return from Banisilan to Cot 2nd DEO Guest House (Midsayap) where we stayed for two nights...Engr. Villareal visited us with his wife, also an employee of the District...we were all so tired ...
